ABOUT THE ROLE

Anderson College is currently seeking an experienced professional Instructor to teach in our Paralegal Program. Currently, we have openings for the following courses:

  • Employment Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Immigration Law
  • Legal Accounting (preferably uLaw Practice software)

Instructors must have an appropriate combination of education, occupational experience and teaching experience, including:

  • fluency in English,
  • experience teaching and leading interactive lectures and discussions,
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, and
  • being a confident, engaging, enthusiastic, and dynamic presenter

Additionally, the successful applicant must meet the following specific criteria, as a minimum:

  • be an LSO licensee (Lawyer or Paralegal) in Good Standing;
  • must have at least one year of practice experience in Ontario as a paralegal or lawyer, practicing in the subject matter areas that they will be teaching;
  • must have at least one year of teaching experience in a school setting - acting as an occasional lecturer, a presenter, a trainer, an articling principal or a Field Placement Supervisor is not considered teaching experience,or have formal training in education that has resulted in a degree, diploma or certificate.

Shift Type: Courses can be scheduled from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and/or from 6:00 to 10:00 PM
