Responsibilities:
Lethbridge College is recruiting for one full-time continuing position within the Nursing Education in Southwestern Alberta (NESA) program. The NESA Bachelor of Nursing Program is seeking an individual who has a strong passion for nursing and quality nursing education.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, innovative, and supportive participant within the nursing program and within the Centre for Health and Wellness. Job Duties:
- Provide teaching, supervision, and mentorship in maternal/child/pediatric nursing courses including theory, lab, and clinical
- Applies and evaluates effective teaching strategies
- Encourages and fosters an environment of inquiry, valuing evidence-informed practice
- Engages as a member of a larger faculty team in the development and implementation of course-related or curricular initiatives
- Participates in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or applied research activities
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing or related health discipline completed or close to completion
- Bachelor of Nursing (BN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- 3-5 years clinical nursing experience in mat/child/peds
- Eligible for, or current registration with, the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Preferred Qualifications1-3 years of teaching experience
- clinical expertise in the maternal/child, pediatric area
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
