WHAT TO EXPECT

As an Industrial Engineering Project Manager, your mandate will be to structure the production start-up activities of new products and ensure the optimization and maintenance of existing products. You will be the driving force behind large-scale projects so that they run smoothly and deliver a high level of performance. You will be recognized as a reference in terms of best practices and standards related to industrialization and work methods.

Here’s an overview of your tasks:

  • Array all production start-up activities by applying the established process and ensuring the involvement of stakeholders (engineering, production, quality, processes and planning)
  • Support the existing product line and propose various improvements in order to increase productivity, improve reliability and quality and reduce/eliminate health and safety risks
  • Have an overview of all products under development and identify potential risks and issues to ensure successful production releases
  • Coordinate and oversee the development and review of technical documentation related to new products as well as the maintenance of existing documentation to maintain standards
  • Establish and revise production standards during the bidding process, during production start-up and during any changes
  • Coordinate plant layout and capacity addition projects
  • Manage and supervise internal and external employees and subcontractors

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering
  • 5 to 10 years experience in a similar role
  • Be a collaborative leader
  • Rigor and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Mastery of IT tools and Lean Manufacturing
