We are currently looking for an HR Generalist to join our London, Ontario Business Unit. As a member of the Human Resources team, reporting to the HR Manager, you are an energetic professional ready to take on new challenges and open to work in a very dynamic environment. As an HR Generalist, you are responsible for focusing on all encompassing HR duties, including employee relations, compliance, and project work.

Responsibilities And Contributions
  • Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
  • Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Provide exceptional employee support related to various employee concerns and requests.
  • Ability to provide guidance to employees regarding Employment Standards and federal employment programs
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution and mediation of employee concerns
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding performance management and disciplinary matters
  • Complete management of WSIB claims, investigating, submitting paperwork/forms and maintaining correspondence with all parties regarding claim management and return to work plans
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations
  • Offer proactive recruiting assistance - source, screen, and interview candidates for various production and administrative roles and prepare and present offer letters
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with employment agencies to ensure the selection of the most qualified candidates
  • Assist in development, change and implementation of HR policies and programs
  • Prepare termination and severance letters
  • Train and provide support to HR team members
  • Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development
  • Provide backup support for Scheduler
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
Position Requirements

CHRP or CHRL designation preferred or working towards certification
  • 4+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent decision making and problem-solving capabilities
  • Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices
