The Human Resources Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Human Resources Consultant to join our team! We are looking for a dynamic, experienced professional to join a collaborative team responsible for providing consultation, assistance, research and guidance across varied human resource services such as: recruitment and retention functions, front line support on labour and employee relations, talent and performance management.

As our ideal candidate, it is essential that you are a team player and are able to build effective working relationships with various client groups to understand their needs and get them involved and engaged in the various HR-related processes. You must have the ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy at all times, a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, experience interpreting collective agreements, as well as experience working in an environment that requires strict confidentiality. You have excellent communications and facilitation skills, which includes the ability to effectively question, probe, listen and lead discussions to seek additional insights to help departments make informed decisions. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree; in a field related to human resources management
• Five (5) years directly related experience as a human resources practitioner, preferably in a unionized environment
• Designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is considered an asset
• Management approved combination of education and experience may be considered.
