Meadow Lake Coop is hiring a Human Resource Advisor at our Administration Office in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:

Working closely with the Human Resource Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • You will contribute to providing leadership in Human Resource Advisory Services in a diverse number of areas such as: Talent Acquisition & Onboarding, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Coaching, Performance Management, Training and Development, Investigations, Employee Relations, and Total Rewards;
  • You will facilitate and present training and informational sessions to both small and large groups;
  • You will be required to excel in all areas of advising, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, positivity and reliability;
  • As a brand ambassador, you will model “Living the Brand” everyday through our Mission Statement and Values of Community, Service, Teamwork and Responsibility;
  • You will ensure compliance to company policies and procedures, professional standards and applicable laws and regulation;
  • You will participate in policy reviews and update work documents;
  • You will provide support for succession planning for the Meadow Lake Co-op;
  • You will provide support for compensation & benefits, health & safety, employee wellness, attendance management, diversity & inclusion and job profile maintenance;
  • You are required to have knowledge of Saskatchewan Employment Standards;
  • You will be required to run reports and meet deadlines;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are passionate about a career in the Human Resources and:

  • You have completed a bachelor or diploma in Human Resources or Business-related field;
  • You have 1-3 years of experience in providing advisory services in the areas of Human Resources, Total Rewards or related areas;
  • A CPHR designation or relevant experience would be an asset;
  • You manage complexity and are detail oriented with strong organizational skills;
  • High level of professionalism;
  • You look for continuous improvement through optimizing work processes;
  • You are action oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment;
  • You have strong interpersonal savvy skills, relating openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people;
  • You are willing to be involved in the community;
  • You take accountability and can work under minimal supervision;
  • You have experience at an intermediate level in word, excel, outlook and social media.
