We are currently looking to hire a HSE Office Administrator to join the Health and Safety Department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of HSE admin experience . The position will be a 2-month contract with the opportunity to become a permanent position.

  • Manage CDN Controls Ltd.’s safety management system (Work Hub)
  • Audit, Upload and update employee tickets, policies, procedures, and online training.
  • Upload new employee records and tickets to the Safety Drive and safety management system
  • Collect Job Scope, Lead Indicator, Pre-Job Hazard Assessments, and Behavior Observations cards/paperwork, sort them by date and LSD and scan and file electronically
  • Track employee safety certificate for expiry and work with employees and their Manager to book recertification courses
  • Ensure all employees and contractors have the mandatory training required for their specific jobs, if training is required ensure the training is scheduled and completed.
  • Order, track and assign PPE and maintain up to date records.
  • Complete new employee safety orientations
  • Assist in the Preparation of safety meetings as needed.
  • Complete monthly fire extinguisher and CDN house inspections
  • Maintain first aid kits, eyewash stations, SDS binders, and Emergency Response Plans
  • Participate in and take notes at monthly Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee meetings.
  • Pull expired abstracts from registry as required file and document.
  • Assist with building forms and or auditing internal policies as needed.
  • Gas monitor tracking and bump log maintenance
  • Monitor Contractor Documents/Compliance
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures
  • Act in accordance with Health & Safety Legislation and Practices and CDN Controls Ltd.’s safety policies and practices
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate initiative when working along
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize projects and daily tasks
  • Minimum two years of office administrative support with strong background in Health & Safety
  • Post-Secondary education in Health & Safety would be considered an asset
