Duties And Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, HRIS, and working collaboratively as part of the Human Resources + Equity team, the HRIS Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the effective functioning of the College’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) by ensuring integrity of system data, and by supporting effective processes and communications with departments across the college.

The incumbent will analyze and validate HRIS information, including but not limited to, person and job details for all full-time and part-time employees, attendance, compliance with various collective agreements, while also ensuring stakeholder deadlines are met. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for synthesizing and documenting processes, making recommendations on process, system and reporting enhancements, as well as providing training and employee facing support on HRIS functions and processes.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of three (3) year diploma or degree in office administration, human resources, information technology or accounting.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience with a human resource information system.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent data management and time-management abilities
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills
  • Experience in a unionized environment and understanding of collective agreements
  • Strong analytical ability and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and discretion, maintaining confidentiality
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to work productively within a fast-paced environment with multiple and/or conflicting demands and deadlines
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in all matters related to students, staffing and programming.
  • Ellucian Banner experience is an asset.
Required Skills

Salary Range: $68,911-$86,140
