As a family owned company founded in 1971 in the scrap metal recycling industry, Amix has since expanded into a wide range of services, including marine salvage, marine projects, marine towing and barging, concrete sales and steel distribution. The Amix Group consists of six companies providing specialized and quality service. These companies include Amix Marine Projects, Amix Marine Services, Amix Real Estate, Amix Recycling, Western Concrete, and Amix Steel and Surplus.
At Western Concrete, We require a skilled and versatile Heavy Equipment Mechanic (mostly ready mix trucks) capable of completing their tasks in a shop environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements(include but are not limited to)
- Perform planned preventative maintenance activities and repairs on all types of heavy equipment (Truck and transport Mechanic).
- Perform Running Maintenance repairs on various types of heavy equipment (i.e., ready mix trucks).
- Rotate through shop and field assignments as required.
- Perform large component replacements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
- Participate in the development of, and the ability to follow maintenance procedures and instructions.
- Participate in safety programs and adhere to site safety standards.
- Safely operate company provided equipment.
- Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
Qualifications(Minimum Job Requirements/Qualifications)
- Mechanically inclined with experience working on commercial experience
- A Valid Driver’s License
- Able to work at heights
- Able to work within confined spaces
- Physically Fit with the ability to climb ladders

- Experience with Maintenance Tracking Software and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
