You will help to support the creative vision and exceptional execution of work by our Creative Services department. In addition to a passion for design – accompanied by a keen eye for detail – you will have a strong desire to join one of the top fundraising teams in Canada.

About The Role

The Graphic Designer will ultimately report to the Creative Director but will work closely with the Art Director and our team of videographers, designers, writers and developers to support the vision for the creative output of the department.

You will be responsible for developing and defending insightful and beautiful design solutions. Balancing design thinking with interpersonal skills, you champion great design to internal clients and project teams alike. You will have a good sense of what work reinforces Foundation objectives – and mix creative expression with delivering on the objectives of the brief.

You Will
  • Develop design concepts and communicate ideas clearly and in a compelling fashion. You are able to easily articulate your design thinking and insights that led to your ideas.
  • Be directly responsible for project design and development across a wide range of mediums, including: concept and story boarding, initial graphic concepts, printed material (reports and proposals, posters, POS, collateral, etc), interactive page and website layouts, and digital and social marketing assets
  • Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables
  • Design solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with other creative people
You Have
  • 4+ years in an agency/studio environment
  • Strong digital design portfolio – especially consumer-facing websites, email and social
  • Strong visual, interactive and graphic design skills
  • Experience presenting your work and substantiating your design decisions
  • Knowledge of the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Time management skills to manage responsibilities and to always be prepared
  • A self-motivated and accountable attitude
  • Motion graphics experience for the Web and video (Premiere Pro and After Effects) considered an asset
  • Illustration skills in electronic media considered an asset
  • Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
