McCain Foods (Canada)is currently seeking a General Operatorto join our Valley Farm Team in Grand Falls, N.B. for the Spring/Fall Harvest.

JOB GRADE: Depends on Qualification

DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Truck Driver License – Class 3 (Air Brakes)
• Ability to operate farm machinery, SS Loader, Forklift
• Valid Pesticide License (not required but would be an asset)
• Background in Agriculture would be an asset
• Capable of performing General Maintenance
• Responsible for following all safety requirements
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Team player with excellent attendance
• Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude
• Willing and able to work long hours and weekends
• Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s)
• Grade 12 education or GED would be an asset
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis
• Foster and promote a safe work environment
• Ability to lift 25-30lb and at times excess of 50lbs
• All additional duties as they become assigned
