Full time, permanent opportunity (40hrs/week plus overtime when available) with one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies as a Production Welder – Steel Shop department in Steinbach, MB. In this role you would be responsible for the following:

· Welding and rebar fabrication of rebar frames used in pre-cast concrete production

· Using blue prints ensure product is built to spec

· Designing jigs and fixtures for various applications

· Contributing to problem solving and continuous improvement within the team

· Participating in team huddles daily

· Following machine maintenance protocol and working with the maintenance team regarding any potential issues

· Ensuring safety and company policies and procedures are followed

· Willingness to learn about pre-cast concrete, production processes and various equipment

To qualify for this role you will have:

· Welding and rebar fabricating experience, with CWB certification an asset

· Previous manufacturing experience in a production metal fabrication shop environment in a lead role an asset

· Experienced with the use of all tools normally found in a metal fabrication shop, welders, saws, hands tools, steel cutting tools

· Strong commitment to safety in the workplace

· Creative

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Mechanical aptitude for running and maintaining equipment

· Ability to understand blue prints and production orders (job travelers)

· Basic computer skills for entering production data and for operating equipment

· Flexible in work schedules and working overtime based on production demand
