Late Afternoon Warehouse Sorter – Kelowna
Shift: 3:00PM Start Time / Monday to Friday / 20 - 25 hours per week

UPS is currently looking for Part Time and Permanent Local Sortersto work our Kelowna Package Centre in Winfield.

• Position Title: Local Sorters
• Position Type: Permanent and Part Time
• Work Hours: 3:00PM start* (based on operational requirements)
• Workdays: Monday to Friday* (based on operational requirements)
• Work span: at least 25 hours per week
• Location: 8826 Jim Bailey Crescent, Winfield BC

Job Summary:

Local Sorters are responsible for unloading and loading packages off and on trailers, air canisters and other vehicles. Other responsibilities may include:

• Lifting, lowering, and moving of packages weighing between 10-lbs to 70-lbs.
• Scanning and sorting packages based on postal codes, addresses, package dimensions
• Understanding and recognizing postal codes, routing charts and maps
• Standing closely with conveyor, roller belts and other equipment in the warehouse
• Working in a team environment to ensure efficient transfer of packages.

Qualifications:

• Must be available to work 5 days a week, Monday to Friday*;
• Ability to follow set of safety and standard procedures;
• Good organizational and multi-tasking skills;
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment;
• Able to regularly and safely lift packages between 10-lbs up to 70-lbs unassisted;
• Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment;
• Must commit working five days a week (M-F) and at least 25 hours per week (5-hrs per day min);
• Warehouse experience is considered an asset but not required;

A reliable form of transportation will be an asset as public transit may not be available for the beginning of the shift;
