Underground Production Geology Technician (Fly-In Fly-Out)

Reporting to the Underground Geology Coordinator, the Underground Production Geology Technician is part of the Geology Department and collaborates with other departments of the mine. She/He will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Perform and digitize geological mapping of mineralized and/or sterile development;
- Guide the lateral development placed under geological control, in collaboration with the Mine Department and according to standards established by the geology and engineering departments;
- Perform and supervise sampling (chips/mucks);
- Visit, measure, characterize all UG development rounds and stopes currently active;
- Verify and update the assays files on a daily basis;
- Supply laboratory with samples priorities list and prepare the shipments of samples;
- Evaluate the mineral content of the work locations and estimate the exploited mineral dilution;
- Perform 3D desurvey of DDH data on a regular basis;
- Prepare plans, sections, longitudinal sections for the geology team;
- Participate in the weekly/monthly safety meeting and risk evaluations of his/her tasks;
- Respects the department’s budget in all phases of the work;
- All other related tasks as requested by Supervisor.
