Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world’s first successful zero-effluent-discharge market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical pulp (BCTMP) facility with approximately 200 employees and an annual production capacity of 414,000 ADMT.

TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, the Transportation Coordinator ensures all domestic shipments are delivered to the customer on time and in good condition, according to defined specifications in a cost effective manner. This will include overseeing truck and railcar supply & schedules, preparation of associated reports and administrative duties. Training will be provided as required.

Responsibilities
  • Domestic pulp movement—coordinate and monitor truck & railcar outbound requirements and inbound supply
  • Ensures that expectations for product wrapping, truck and railcar appearance are communicated
  • Maintains systems to ensure the most cost effective selection and monitoring of transportation providers
  • Verifies and maintains accurate inventory in SAP
  • Maintains and issues regular railcar and truck shipment reports
  • Ensures adequate and current documentation of processes and procedures for workgroup area
  • Position coverage and cross training with Order Management Planner and Logistics Coordinators
Qualifications
  • General transportation experience is considered an asset
  • Proficient computer abilities
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Flexible, well organized and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A high sense of urgency with regards to operational requirements
