Valo Networks is a Corporation striving to build and develop Fiber to the Home Networks and Services to mostly rural Canadian residents.

We are adding to our our construction team to support long term projects in the Red Deer County area and are looking for local talent, eager to lead and apply their skills at Telecom construction.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Read, understand, and develop Specifications, Method of Procedures (MOP) documentation, and Infield Procedures for equipment installations.
  • Plan and oversee in field project contractor/staff.
  • Supervise in field quality, providing leadership to on-site, sub-contractors, and other parties.
  • Manage the work schedules and time for all field staff.
  • Act as the main point of communication between the main field and the office.
  • Liaise with clients, project teams and office in an informal setting to review scope changes, force account items, and priority shifts.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety systems with a working knowledge of OH&S legislation ensuring that the construction site is safe and manages escalated security and safety issues or emergency situations appropriately and in accordance to standard operating procedures and company polices.
  • Ensure that the project construction work is carried out as per the assigned schedule and resolves all the construction problems with a focus on productivity.
  • Install, remove and replace equipment as required.

About You
  • 5+ Year’s experience
  • Proficient with FTTP construction methods and supervision
  • Safety conscious and organization skills required
  • Proficient with IX builds including HDD, Plow, Cable Placement & as-build packages
  • Capable of running multiple crews on multiple sites
  • Proficient in Alberta 1 call program
  • Proficient with TAS and worker safety protocols
  • Public interaction skills
