The Role

The Technical Coordinator will be expected to handle service calls from the field and work with the client to determine cause of unit issues in the field. The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating service personnel to ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues.

The Technical Coordinator will coordinate the commissioning, operation, service and maintenance of Westgen’s product line. The Technical Coordinator will develop a technical understanding of Westgen’s products as well as an understanding of their application and implementation in the market. This will be a customer facing role that will require strong customer service skills.

Data collection and management is a key component in Westgen’s business. The Technical Coordinator will be responsible for developing and updating current processes and procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance within Westgen to ensure they stay current.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for the Technical Coordinator role include:

• Become a technical expert in the operation and troubleshooting of Westgen’s product line
• Provide remote customer support to field based clients to rectify any issues they may have
• Monitor Westgen’s IoT remote monitoring platform for data and unit performance
• Coordinate the deployment of service teams as required
• Document control
• Prepare Field Service Call Sheets
• Prepare Field Sales Order / Parts Sales / Warranty Orders
• Update operational tracker to maintain a database of common issues
• Maintain internal data tracking systems
• Update and improve current internal troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
• Be available for an on-call rotation

Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position should have:

• Engineering degree, technical diploma or equivalent work experience
• Preference to Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum
• Strong customer service attitude
• Calm under pressure
• Customer oriented
• Approachable
• General understanding of mechanical systems, power generation or electrical systems
• Basic understanding of project management
• Growth mindset and desire to continuously improve

Other skills that would be highly valued:

• Comprehensive understanding of wellpad electrical and mechanical operation and typical designs and/or hands-on experience with oil and gas facilities
• Previous experience with Acumatica or Spira
