Rockport is looking for a Systems Engineer to play a key role in analysing and developing Rockport’s innovative networking solutions. You’ll be challenged to identify and map future system requirements from requirements gathering to the integration of the product capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the product, hardware, and software teams to define, author, and implement engineering requirements derived from product requirements
• Ensure system architecture and designs support engineering requirements
• Support our internal engineering teams to define, implement, integrate, and test system level requirements
• Diagnose and resolve system issues
• Leverage best practices relating to systems engineering (modeling, simulation, cross-domain analysis, system requirements, trade-off analysis)
  

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in product development and at least two of the following domains: Application/System Software, Embedded SW, FPGA development, hardware design, simulation, signal processing
• Experience with systems integration (tools and techniques)
• Experience identifying, defining, and documenting system requirements and specification
• A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficient with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab)
• Understanding of routing, congestion control, flow control algorithms, and Layer 2/3 protocols
• Must be eligible for government security clearance
