Job Summary:

Black Box Manufacturing, a company that designs, manufactures, installs, and tests solutions for industrial equipment packaging, is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our team. As a Skilled Labourer, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems. You will work closely with the in-house engineering, project management, and welding/fabrication teams to deliver high-quality solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in basic electrical installation projects with the opportunity for advancement and schooling
• Assist in basic metal fabrication projects with the opportunity for advancement and schooling
• Assist in non-structural welding projects with the opportunity for advancement and schooling
• Complete weld finishing duties
• Perform cleaning and paint preparation duties for various projects
• Perform minor painting tasks as directed by supervisors
• Fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to create finished products
• Maintaining a safe and organized work environment

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on time
• Experience with various power tools and equipment
• Have basic tooling such as tape measure, knife, etc. PPE will be provided.
• Ability to Lift 50lbs
• Minimum of 1 year exeriance in a related construction industry.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Trade school/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline is beneficial

Compensation will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s strengths and experience as measured by the above description.

Salary range: $21-$26 per hour

Day shift: Monday – Thursday 10 hrs shift ( possibility for overtime pay)
