Retail Powerhouse Wanted!

Do you love sustainable fashion, ethical manufacturing, working in partnership with Indigenous communities and being part of the growth of an exciting small business? If so, then this might be the perfect opportunity for you. As our business is expanding into the Skagway market, I have to spend time away from the shop and we’re looking for a strong independent individual to run the boutique in my absence. I’m looking for someone who can confidently step into this role with an appetite for product knowledge and a drive for excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has a keen interest in fashion design and style, understands impeccable craftsmanship, is excited by in-depth product knowledge, likes a mellow work environment but knows how to use time wisely, has strong customer service skills and really wants to work to help build our business into one that can support as many folks as possible.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• opening and closing processes
• cleaning & organizing
• restocking shelves, merchandising displays
• transactions (cash, packaging of purchases)
• greeting and engaging with customers
• reading all company socials/website content to maintain awareness of practices, events, media coverage, annoucements, etc.

The more of the skills you bring that shorten the training period, the more your wage will be positively affected. The wage indicated in this listing is not fixed. There may also be the opportunity to earn piecework pay on top of your hourly wage.

There is a dress code of smart casual to smart dressy in this position. If you are contacted for an interview, you must demonstrate a firm understanding of this in your wardrobe choices.
