Due to growing projects within the Purchasing North America team, an opportunity has been created at our Granton facility for a new colleague who will take up the challenge and grow with us!
Responsibilities include:
  • build and generate purchase orders;
  • prepare contracts for execution;
  • handle change orders;
  • actively participate in project team meetings;
  • support project team, project engineers, and internal partners;
  • negotiate final pricing and contracts;
  • ensure management of supplier performance (budget, schedule);
  • liaison with capital buyers as needed;
  • gather information on new suppliers as needed;
  • communicate information clearly and concisely to both internal and external partners, ensuring confidentiality;
  • assist with projects, support knowledge sharing and exchange and standard processes with team members; and,
  • find opportunities for process and/or spending efficiency improvements to reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or, completion of a diploma program in business or a related field, or, combination of education and purchasing experience;
  • minimum 3 years experience in a purchasing or related role;
  • proficient in Microsoft Office,particularly Excel; and,
  • experience with Oracle is an asset but not required.
