Utilities - Project Manager
CGI’s Utilities Practice is experiencing significant growth requiring us to continue to build our leadership Team. We have an immediate need for a Project Manager in the Utilities space to assist us in building our business and expertise.

Role Description
As a project manager you will work with the Utilities Director of Consulting Services, Team Leads and Global Utilities Leaders to plan, organize and lead projects in the GTA and across Ontario.
You will be accountable for planning, monitoring and controlling the activities of project teams to complete all expected deliverables within the time and effort budgets allocated in the overall Project Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities

• Have overall accountability to lead and implement quality projects while meeting cost, schedule and scope using Agile Methodologies and tools?
• Prepare the management deliverables (e.g. project plan, work plan, management reviews, request for changes, outstanding issues and risks) and seek approval when necessary
• Direct large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
• Take action on issues of non-compliance in quality and ensure all project products are in accordance with quality standards
• Provides Accountable Executive with continued insight in the visibility of the business case (e.g.?costs, benefits, KPIs) as the project progresses?
• Communicate plans, responsibilities and status to project stakeholders
• Manage and communicate all outstanding issues, risks and decisions and change requests
• Perform or guide the role of configuration manager, ensuring that the procedures identified for configuration management are followed and that the Change Control Board (CCB) performs as specified
• Perform or guide the role of requirements manager, ensuring that the procedures identified for requirements management are followed

Key Skills
Consulting and Project Management

• Possesses advanced knowledge and 5-10 years of experience in project and program management, including managing large-scale projects or programs of significant complexity and value
• Experience in a client-facing role including proven history of building trust with clients, being influential, tenacious and comfortable making judgements and critical decisions.
• Solutions & Business/Information Technology Methodologies
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience), MBA preferred

Interpersonal

• Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual in English and French would be an asset
