If you are a marketing professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! This person can be based in our Brantford OR Richmond Hill office location. You will work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Operations to define the vision and strategy for Cold Chain and Human Comfort product lines. Based on that strategy, this position will develop and execute business plans to successfully grow these product lines through the development of new products or features.

As a Product Planner Associate, You Will
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to define the vision and strategy for various Emerson Cold Chain and Human Comfort product lines.
  • Work with marketing, sales/customers, operations, suppliers, and other functional groups to understand their needs and concerns as they relate to your product line.
  • Present progress updates both internally and externally to upper management, the sales force and customers.
  • Oversee the execution of the overall business plan throughout various phases of product life cycle; Development, Launch, Sustain, Phase-out.
  • Lead NPD programs, guiding the new product phase/gate process through cross functional teams.
  • Be the expert on the competition and develop plans to win.
  • Facilitate collaboration efforts with various functions globally to ensure leading edge technology and speed to market by leveraging common designs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives for the organization, develop material for top level reviews.
  • Lead projects for New Business Opportunities, Customer Support, and Plant Support.
  • Lead efforts on commercial projects as well as improving the commercialization of our current product portfolio.
Who You Are

You consider the integration points of pieces and parts working together. You understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer relationships.You engage key stakeholders early and consider the upside and downside scenarios.

Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Four-year bachelors degree in marketing, business, engineering or technical equivalent degree
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 20% (U.S. and Canada)
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Strong competency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Very strong communication skills, both written and presentation.
  • Excellent people skills to enable interaction with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams and customers.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
  • Two or more years of industry experience
