We are seeking an experienced Product Library Specialist to join our growing team. As a Product Library Specialist you will experience working on with multiple teams such as Contracts, Design, Construction and Architecture to administer Caivan’s product library function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Costing, analysis, creation, and implementation of all new product codes in the Product Library within NewStar Database options (includes reviewing options, presenting solutions to any issues, suggestion of retail & rollout of codes to Sales Team)
  • Maintenance of Design Center library SKU’s including troubleshooting any issues and coordinating with the trades to resolve any issues related to Product Library within NewStar Database.
  • Managing retails in the product library as directed by Design Studio/Sales.
  • Analysis of option sales data and recommendations for adding/deleting options.
  • Maintenance of all backup items related to the Design Center library including parts, bid rates, crafts,
    relevant payment draws, etc.
  • Working closely with contracts team to implement new specs, aid with retrieving missing pricing and clarification of options.
  • Actively participate in identifying and implementing more efficient ways to manage “Extra to Contract/Upgrade” pricing, reducing timing for tender, analysis, and contract negotiations.
  • Work with Construction and Architecture to troubleshoot on site issues and coordinate a solution. Requires reviewing plans, product codes, purchase orders and standard details.
  • Liaise with trade partners and other departments to communicate issues and resolve conflicts
  • Assume a technology leadership role working closely with Technical Team Leads to improve processes,
    educate team members, resolve problems.


You will bring:

  • Post-secondary education – Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Newstar, JD Edwards or equivalent database is highly preferred.
  • Experience in construction, office or site environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Construction estimating knowledge.
  • Creative problem solver, energetic, organized, eye for details and outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • A passion for learning new technologies and training others
  • Self-starter with the capacity to identify new business opportunities and the analytical ability to create plans and to realize them
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and objectives quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently setup, create and maintain documentation metadata
  • Ability to interpret and implement process, procedures, workflows, and standards
