Moosehead Breweries Limited is Canada’s last-major brewer still owned by Canadians. Headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has been operated by the Oland family since it was established in 1867.

In continuing our journey of resilience, we are recruiting for Packaging Operators. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a desire to excel in a manufacturing environment. This is a unique opportunity for confident, detail-oriented individuals, who demonstrate flexibility and the initiative to learn new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for your Safety and the Safety of others in your work area
• Responsible for the output from your work area
• Responsible for Quality and Productivity
• Following the Checks and Procedures within the SOPs
• Pre-Start, Start-up, Shutdown, Safety / Emergency Shutdown, Changeovers, General Safety
• Cleaning - Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Consumable Supply for the all the Machines and Positions with-in the production facility
• Performs set-ups, changeovers, monitors performance, troubleshooting and completes minor adjustments/lubrications to ensure peak performance of machines
• Contact and assist the Maintenance Group as required
• Ensure all Machine/s and all Work area/s are kept clean, details in specific Machine Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs)
• Performs other duties as required and assigned
• Will be required to cover for vacancies on all shifts as required
• Working with a wide variety of materials

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Post-Secondary program is required
• Certification or Diploma in the following would be an asset: Electronics, Electrical and Mechanical Technology, Machining, Machine Shop, Manufacturing Engineering Technician or Process Control Technician
• Basic computer skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Aptitude to learn and troubleshoot highly automated, state-of-the-art machinery
• Self-starter and ability to think, work, and interact well with others
• Ability to remain logical and calm while working under pressure
• Willingness to work rotating, 8-hour shifts and weekends
