We are a heavy equipment & trucking company specializing in trucking and heavy equipment services. Our mission is to provide exceptional transportation and equipment solutions to our clients, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods and materials. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trucking & Heavy Equipment Operations Manager with Sales Responsibilities.
Job Summary:
As the Heavy Equipment Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of heavy equipment operations. Additionally, you will actively engage in sales activities to drive business growth and foster strong client relationships. This position requires a strong understanding of the trucking and heavy equipment industry, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate the daily operations of our trucking and heavy equipment division, including dispatching, scheduling, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and industry standards.
Optimize fleet utilization and efficiency by analyzing routes, load capacities, and fuel consumption.
Collaborate with drivers, technicians, and other personnel to maintain high performance and productivity levels.
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational processes, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Actively engage in sales activities, including prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management.
Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
Provide timely and accurate reports on operations, sales performance, and financial metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
Proven experience in trucking and heavy equipment operations management, including dispatching, scheduling, and maintenance.
Strong sales acumen with a successful track record in generating new business and achieving sales targets.
Excellent knowledge of the trucking and heavy equipment industry, including relevant regulations and market trends.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify operational inefficiencies and propose effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
