Your Opportunity:
Connect Care Nurse Practitioner CMIO Educators are practitioner-users of the Connect Care clinical information system (CIS) in one or more areas of clinical specialization. Educators are recruited, trained and supported to instruct and support peers (in their own or similar clinical area or specialty) in safe and acceptable CIS use while promoting transformation and clinical improvement. Accordingly, they work closely with zone medical leadership, including relevant Associate Chief Medical Information Officers (ACMIOs). Educators are guided by CMIO Provincial Training team who have provincial scope and responsibility for design of curriculum content that can be adapted to clinical area and facility needs. Reports to the Director, Medical Informatics and Training (CMIO).
Description:
CMIO Educators are interested in training their colleagues, physicians and other advances care practitioners and are excited to positively contribute to the further refinement of provider training. Educators will receive training specific to their role and to develop proficiency with Connect Care to facilitate productive communications and interactions. Educators will train End Users for their roles as well as delivering formal training to physicians on connect care including basic training, personalization & optimization. Educators are some of the most effective individuals to have for launch support due to their extensive knowledge of the system and experience in training their colleagues. Educators available to provide launch support have the opportunity to have a make a huge impact in the successful launch of Connect Care in their implementation wave. Launch support will consist of the following: Providing implementation support split between scheduled days and ad-hoc. Designing and deploying just-in-time user support to address issues arising during CIS launch waves. PLEASE NOTE: The Alberta Union of Nurse Practitioners (AUNP) was certified by the Alberta Labour Relations Board on December 20, 2021, as the bargaining agent for all employees of Alberta Health Services (AHS) who are nurse practitioners performing advanced nursing care or nursing instruction.

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner (NP) program at a minimum of a Master of Nursing level or equivalent; registration with CRNA as a NP; Recent clinical experience in area of practice; and willingness to complete additional education and/or certifications specific to area of practice.
Additional Required Qualifications:As required.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Alberta Health Services. Experience using a Clinical Information System.
