AF Mushrooms is an agri-food ventures that is focused on growing exotic species of mushrooms for the culinary and nutraceutical industries. Our new facility near Crossfield, AB is coming online and is capable of growing a variety of oyster species and Lion’s Mane, this complements our existing facility in Strathmore, AB.

AF Mushroom Inc. is seeking ambitious team players at our mushroom production facility near Crossfield. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced and flexible environment, and who are willing to roll up their sleeves in the company’s mushroom operations.

The successful candidate will be positive and reliable member of our team. They will take pride in professionalism, continuous improvement and their ability to work through challenges.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The successful candidate will undertake the following responsibilities and duties:

• Strict adherence to food safety, health and safety policies;
• Assist with bagging, pasteurization, and inoculation of mushroom blocks;
• Maintaining the facilities for cleanliness and hygiene;
• Coordinate shipping of blocks to grow out facilities;
• Contribute to the construction of the company’s expansions around Alberta;
• Other activities consistent with the role and title, as may be prescribed from time to time.

Qualifications and Skills:

The successful applicant must have the following qualifications and skills:

• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with tools and equipment is an asset.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• Shipping/receiving experience an asset.
• Ability to lift loads of up to 50 lb.
• Must hold a valid drivers’ license.

Expected start date: 2021-08-30

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $18.00 per hour
