Junior Bridge Designer

EXP is currently looking for a Junior Bridge Designerto join our Markham office work within the Transportation business practice. While there is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects the primary focus of this position is assist our Bridge Department with design, inspection, and rehabilitation of Bridges.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of contract documents for projects
• Assist with design of steel, concrete and wood structures
• Work with other engineers collaboratively
• Participate in design meetings with owner and other consultants
• Participate in construction site meetings
• Conduct site visits during construction to review work for general compliance to structural drawings and contract document

The Skills and Knowledge You Bring

• Degree in Structural Engineering from a recognized University
• 0 to 3 years’ experience in structural engineering such as structural steel, concrete, masonry and wood design relating to foundations, buildings and other structures
• Knowledge of structural analysis software
• Proficient with MS Office software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
