Job summary:

Reporting to the Director, E-Commerce Dynamite, the E-commerce junior merchandiser is responsible for online merchandising of the website Dynamiteclothing.com and mobile application, reporting on product and web performance, and optimizing content.

In your day to day tasks, you are committed to enhancing the customer journey and path to purchase by optimizing product landing pages and working with marketing to ensure web experiences are optimal, enhancing internal search and navigation, and reporting on product and/or site performance.

As an expert, you will help identify key opportunities that will help grow online conversion and sales through analyzing the business, understanding the vision from the product and brand teams, and recommending actionable merchandising strategies, and working with cross-departmental teams such as marketing and product to ensure we execute impactful initiatives and/or ideas to continuously evolve the website.


Responsibilities:

Merchandising Strategies (60%)

  • Support day-to-day merchandising updates to various content-focus aspects of the website, including product landing pages, campaign landing pages, site navigation, and other elements (Creating and optimizing existing ranking);
  • Optimize merchandising strategies based on business needs and brand/buyer’s vision monthly and quarterly;
  • Monitor stock and sale movements and consider boosting or burying out of stock inventory or poorly selling items;
  • Optimize internal search by rule enhancements and analysis of top search terms;

Driving Insight and innovation (20%)

  • Responsible for product performance tracking and reporting of web merchandising initiatives on a weekly and monthly basis;
  • Optimize current trends, opportunities, assortment, and competition to assort, merchandise and market products online;
  • Create, manage and deliver data-driven site merchandising strategies to increase overall product discovery by creating customer-centric merchandising decisions;
  • Stay on top of key trends and new product developments in e-commerce merchandising, making actionable recs as seasons pivot;

Ecom stakeholder/partnership (20%)

  • Work hand-in-hand with various stakeholders (Product side + fashion house), developing and executing strategic action plans, and supporting marketing with go-to-market launches and initiatives;
  • Develop and implement tactics to improve the performance of the online channel and participate in projects and initiatives to further enhance the online shopping experience;
  • Spot-check all digital marketing content before it gets sent to customers/published online to ensure best practices are followed, to ensure the accuracy of timelines and the best product is being promoted;
  • Work in cross-departmental pods/scrum teams including AB testing by collaborating and executing tasks in sprints that correspond to a project or specific need that requires merchandising assistance
  • Communicate findings and analysis in a clear and concise way to cross-departmental teams with the end goal to drive reactive action and valuable insight, inclusive of in style reviews;
  • Participate in SEO strategies in collab with the E-comm copywriter and marketing team.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Fashion/Digital Marketing, Business Management, E-commerce, or digital-related fields;
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of related work experience;
  • Proficiency in Excel;
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics;
  • Proficiency in Jira (or other project management software), Agile methodology, SEO Optimization, and UX design is an asset;
  • Well-established business sense;
  • Exceptional written communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills;
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and meet fast turnaround deadlines;
  • Proven collaborative team player;
  • Detail-oriented and analytical;
  • Bilingualism (spoken and written).
