Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Instrumentation Apprentice on a permanent basis on our Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC). This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.Are you looking to enter the Instrumentation trade?   • Carry out duties in the Instrumentation Trade Section of the Maintenance & Reliability Department at a Helper level of responsibility.
  • Calibrate electronic and pneumatic instruments.
  • Repair and maintain control valves and regulators.
  • Conduct DCS loop tuning.
  • Collaborate with Operations and troubleshoot process problems.
  • Confirm control logics with the DCS.

  • Completion of Grade XII including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application will be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period.
  • Successful completion of an Aptitude Test.
  • Applications from candidates who do not possess technical qualifications (ex. education, tickets) required for the position as of the closing date of application will not be accepted.
  • Candidates must have superior mechanical aptitude, the physical capability to perform heavy work associated with the position and demonstrated ability in the performance of semi-skilled maintenance work.
  • The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable training programs to qualify for advancement.
  • A good working knowledge of refinery operations and practices would also be considered an asset.
