Instructor, Transportation, Logistics and
Supply Chain Management (Term)
School of Continuing Education

D U T I E S
Reporting to the Chair, Skilled Trades, Transportation, and Technologies in the School of
Continuing Education, the Instructor will be responsible for facilitating instruction in the
Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management certificate program. These courses may
include, but are not limited to Transportation and Logistics Fundamentals, Project Management,
Introduction to Supply Chain Management, Transportation Law, Integrated Logistics and
Economic Influences on Logistics. These courses may be delivered online and/or in-class at the
Exchange District or Notre Dame campuses in Winnipeg. Duties will include the preparation of
course materials and assessments, instruction of students and evaluation of assessments. Duties
related to instructing include: curriculum development and maintenance, preparing course
outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluation, and assisting in College activities
including student orientation, graduation, and relevant committees.

R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
  • Certificate in Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management; an equivalent
combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Professional transportation, logistics and supply chain industry designation (CCLP, SCMP or
similar)
  • Significant and progressive experience in the Supply Chain Management industry
  • Experience managing business projects end to end using a Project Management methodology
  • Ability to instruct in a virtual/online setting, including excellent presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning

and continuous improvement

A S S E T S
  • Registered Project Management Professional designation (PMP or similar)
  • Experience instructing at a post-secondary or similar environment
  • Experienced with online course development /delivery and alternative teaching methodology
  • Experience in adult education
C O N D I T I O N S O F E M P L O Y M E N T
  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer
months
  • Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education
program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
  • May be required to work at various RRC campuses

The successful candidate with a Master’s or
PhD in a related field will receive an
Educational Supplement of $2,725 or
$5,450 per annum, respectively, pro-rated
on an hourly basis.
