The Information Technology Technical Support / Help Desk provides IT support and network assistance to all company users. Suggests and implements solutions that meet the needs of the business.

Challenges

  • Provide support to users and provide them with the required information on IT tools;
  • Ensure the operation of IT tools and take care of their maintenance;
  • Configure, install, and repair computer equipment (PC, peripherals and software) and digital (voice, images and data) connected in a network;
  • The position is distributed 50% in user assistance and 50% in deployment and installation of new systems (servers, switches, etc.);
  • Installs and configures software on workstations according to established norms and standards;
  • Escalate Help Desk issues, especially critical issues, to the IT manager;
  • Report anomalies or breakdowns in the operation of equipment, provide the solutions required for optimal use;
  • Provide quality service for all IT operations;
  • All other related tasks.

Profile

  • College diploma in computer science or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Bilingualism (French / English) both oral and written;
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues, sense of prioritization and emergency management;
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues related to laptops, desktops and printers;
  • Experience or knowledge of MAC platforms;
  • In-depth knowledge, particularly in network administration, Windows workstation, and Linux domains;
  • Be comfortable with certain programming command lines (VB scripts, PowerShell, etc.);
  • Ability to deal professionally with clients and staff;
  • Working knowledge of antivirus and backups;
  • Experience working with Microsoft Teams videoconferencing;
  • Possess very good problem solving skills;
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines;
  • Have a good team spirit;
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills;
  • Demonstrate autonomy, attention to detail and thoroughness.
