As a HPC Field Engineer, you will be responsible for advancing and driving technical deliverables throughout a consultative sales cycle. You will be part of a collaborative team while leveraging Rockport’s networking technology by acting as a customer-facing technical resource day-to-day; minimizing the need to divert Product and Engineering resources in sales-support tasks.

What You Will Do

• Engage with High Performance Computing (HPC) System Architects, Engineers and Technology Directors to demonstrate the value of Rockport’s unique solution capabilities
• Collaborate with and provide support to Rockport teams: Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales
• Present Rockport capabilities at multiple levels of technical details to end-users and partners-channels alike.
• Provide customer-facing responsibilities; pre-sales (product demos), post-sales (training) and product support
• Develop written technical proposals for Rockport solutions, Bills of Materials (BOM) according to customer specifications, and Statements of Work (SOW) for professional services
• Nurture relationships with existing and prospective client
  

What You Bring To Rockport

• 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing and/or Sales Engineering role demonstrated experience as a Pre-Sales or SME subject matter expert in a HPC Networking and workloads
• Experience in the following areas of Networking: Infiniband, RDMA
• Demonstrated combination of technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills that have resulted in innovative and flexible solutions for prior customers
• Willingness to travel, when required
• Must be eligible for government security clearance
