The Opportunity

Pro Paint is seeking a HSE Coordinator/Trainer & Recruiter to join our fast-paced, growing team!

This position is based in our Red Deer County office and will be reporting directly to the HSEQ Manager. If you are looking for your next step in a progressive career, enjoy working in a team environment, and strive for excellence, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site, shop and field HSE audits.
• Completing inspections on equipment.
• Planning, coordinating and issuing in-house training and competencies.
• Booking, coordinating 3rd party training.
• Hosting safety meetings.
• Administrative tasks.
• Active recruiting of new employees.
• Onboarding of new employees.
• Assisting with COR audits.
• Assisting with the development an coordination of the HSE program.
• Maintaining relationships with employees.

Qualifications & Professional Experience

• 3+ years of HSE experience.
• CSTS-2020, SFA, H2S, Fall Pro, CSE, Equipment Operator experience an asset.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and the ability to lead HSE programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to prioritize and manage workload independently.
• Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented.
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of project professionals, maintain high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

Other Requirements & Information

• Must have a valid driver’s license, clean drivers abstract & ability to travel as required.
• Office and/or site visits required at an approx. 80/20 ratio.
