This exciting role offers an experienced Hardware Manufacturing Test Engineer the opportunity to lead the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing test solutions to test Rockport’s networking products. As a member of our Operations team, you will work with some of the best in the industry as you build on your extensive test engineering experience to collaborate with the Engineering and Product Development teams to implement DFT in new designs and develop rugged, cost-effective test and programming solutions that will be deployed on the manufacturing floor.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and debug manufacturing test solutions for circuit cards and systems for Rockport Network’s product containing embedded CPUs, advanced FPGAs, and optical interfaces.
• Implement DFA, DFM, DFT for new designs to optimize manufacturability and testability.
• Develop test fixturing for board and system level testing for Proto, EVT, DVT, PVT through to MP.
• Design debug diagnostics, and intuitive operator interfaces.
• Install and support manufacturing testers at contract manufacturing partners.
  

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience developing functional test equipment and manufacturing test solutions for electronic and optical networking products.
• Experience developing and implementing automatic test equipment (ATE) hardware and software.
• Experience debugging hardware, software, and firmware.
• Knowledge and experience in working with electronic contract manufacturers during development and production.
• Solid understanding of PCB design, manufacturing, test strategy planning methodologies, and design rules for DFT, DFA, DFM.
• Must be eligible for government security clearance.
