The Forklift Operator, reporting to the Supervisor of Materials Distribution, is responsible for the Movement, Loading/Unloading and Storage of materials. Position is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm
This position is safety sensitive and requires drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment.
Your work will include:
- Daily inspection and documentation of equipment.
- Unloading of trucks and storage of materials.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in a warehouse, tool room, supply room or other area.
- Participate in electronic inventory capture receiving and issuance.
- Engage internal customers and respond to requests.
- Load and unload, move or stack materials or products.
- Completes daily Job Hazards Assessments and Pre Job Task Hazard Analysis forms.

- Min 2 years experience (ticketed) in forklift operation.
- Organization and cleanliness of equipment and facility location.
- Ability enter / transfer information electronically via I Pad
- Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment is an asset.
- Able to work individually and as a team member able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties – lift max 45 lb and walk on rough terrain.
- Attention to the details (clean up, stock level, observe damages, etc.)
- Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers.
