The Corporate Affairs & Finance (CA&F) Shared Services team is a high performing and collaborative team that delivers exceptional financial reporting, planning, and analysis to senior leaders and key stakeholders. As a trusted advisor to the CA&F leadership team, you will have in-depth involvement in many aspects of our key business activities and processes.



Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst III will support our Corporate Affairs & Finance Business Partners with a focus on month-end activities, forecasting, annual budgeting and preparing ad hoc analysis. You will also have the opportunity to support the integration and stand-up of financial management processes of a new TELUS Business Unit. We are looking for someone who will be the trusted finance partner to our CA&F Teams, will generate innovative ideas, thrive on ambiguity and continuous change, whilst working with spirited cross-functional teams.




What you’ll do


  • Supporting the Shared Services Controller with month end activities, strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Providing operating results and variance analysis to Corporate Affairs and Finance Leadership teams
  • Participating and helping lead the financial operations for a newly integrated company at TELUS
  • Acting as a trusted advisor, partnering with key stakeholders to track key performance metrics and to provide proactive decision support
  • Identifying, developing and implementing process improvements with a strong focus on automation and activities that matter mos

Great-to-haves


  • University degree and CPA accounting designation is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytical experience in a finance/accounting position
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is an asset
  • Experience with data analytics tools and best practices
  • Familiarity with Google Suite
