JOB SUMMARY

Overall financial management of SJFC includes but not limited to:

  • Regular meetings with program coordinators, managers, and executive director
  • Preparation of financial statements for review
  • Produce monthly statement of earnings & GL for each program
  • Financial accountability to BOD, stakeholders, and funding entities/managers
  • Month end journal entries, reconciling and maintaining GL accounts
  • Review accounts payable, produce cheques etc.
  • Accounts receivable management
  • Processing time cards & contractor invoices
  • Produce bi-weekly payroll and remittances
  • Manages & controls VISA usage/tracking for SJFC – tracking log, sign in/out, scheduling, coaching regarding expense budgeting (as required)
  • Ensure Union dues are deducted & managed properly for workers
  • Administer financial reporting system in cost effective manner
  • Various accounting-related duties including year end audits, program budgeting training, development of new spreadsheets and tracking systems
  • Donations management
  • Maintain TPA financial obligations binder & overview spreadsheet
  • Manage & maintain files & correspondence with contractors
  • Supervise trainee position

Qualifications:

  • University, or college education – Business Administration Studies with College Diploma or Certificate
  • 5 or more years of experience in administration, reception or office management
  • 5 or more years of bookkeeping experience
