Job Summary And RequirementsEmergency Response Communications Officer
This opportunity is for a casual term of less than 6 months.

Through following established policies and standard operating procedures, the incumbent will receive emergency calls and efficiently assess, process, prioritize, coordinate and deploy resources to deal with emergency medical situations throughout Yukon and allocate resources based upon call priority within an appropriate timeframe.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume demonstrating clearly how you meet the following qualifications. Please note that selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience working in a fast paced, 24/7 operation.
- Experience working in a stressful environment both solo and as a team member.
- Experience working with allied agencies (i.e. Police, Fire, Health Care Professionals)
- Experience working in an emergency ambulance setting would be considered an asset.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
Candidates Should Have And May Be Assessed On
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
- Conflict management skills
Conditions of Employment: Security clearance including vulnerable sector, CPR-HCP- current valid certification.
Job Requirements: Shift work including weekends and holidays wearing a uniform, and maintaining all conditions of employment.
