Freight forwarding/customs broker office in Markham is seeking a new office assistant to join our team.

Located close to Leslie Street and highway 7, very convenient and near transit.

Please be well mannered, speak, read and write fluent English.

- Proficient in Office 365

- Understand the basic principals of bookkeeping

- Friendly and work well in a team

Office duties will entail the following;

- Answering phones

- Booking delivery appointments

- Filing and preparing documents

- Assisting management

- Data entry and bookkeeping

- Office errands

Job description

  • General admin duties, including answering phone calls , data entry, faxing, filing
  • Required to develop sales leads, including cold calling, setting up appointments, following up with clients
  • Handle air, ocean and ground transport inquiries
  • Need to prepare documentation for exports and imports
  • Follow up with invoicing on shipments, includes ensuring billing is done correctly
  • Read and response to emails in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)

The position is available immediate for the right individual, hours can be full time or part time.

Office is open from 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday only.
