Commercial Insurance Account Manager (IBU)

Your knowledge and experience in commercial insurance, combined with your attention to detail and customer service focus, are the keys to success in the role of Independent Business Unit (IBU) Commercial Account Manager. This role is responsible for providing customer service support, performing policy reviews, processing policy documents, speaking with clients and underwriters, issuing certificates of insurance, schedules, claims reporting, new business quoting, and maintaining file documentation.

LOCATION AND STATUS

  • Ottawa, ON
  • Full-time, permanent

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of related experience in the insurance industry with a working knowledge of commercial insurance products.
  • Minimum of RIBO
  • CIP designation or CAIB, or working toward is an asset

  • Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Maintains appropriate and clear documentation in an agency management system, including policy details, activities and attachments

  • Flexible and adaptable with proven problem-solving skills
  • Works well within a team and independently and able to adjust to tight and changing deadlines
  • Critical thinker with strong attention to details and organized
