Rockport Networks is looking for a Backend Developer with a passion for learning and using new technologies. At Rockport, you will collaborate with a team to design, develop, test, and deploy Rockport’s proprietary real-time monitoring, provisioning, and planning network management systems. You’ll directly influence the development cycle by applying your knowledge and experience to support the system’s architecture, design specifications, software implementation, and product validation.

What You Will Do

• Maintain software components and build new features within the backend microservices
• Support the fellow developers, software architects, and product owners to develop a leading-edge network communication system
• Evaluate and propose frameworks, libraries, and tools needed for implementing the new functionality
• Lead by example with excellence in code development efficiency and quality
  

What You Bring

• 3+ years of full-stack or backend software development experience in Java, C/C++, C#, or Go in a Linux environment
• Highly proficient in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash)
• Experience designing distributed service architecture with Microservices
• Experience using or managing the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, or Logstash) is an asset
• Must be eligible for government security clearance
