Servus’s Associate Relationship Officers are the junior business bankers. Their days are focused on developing their skills in loan administrations, sales, business development and members financial fitness. They work closely with the senior business bankers to support them while learning.

When they go home at night, they feel good about the proactive advice they have given our members because they have a genuine desire to shape member financial fitness.

This position is a developmental role within Business Banking. Should the successful candidate be able to relocate for future opportunities in Business Banking, Servus will consider it an asset. Developing our people to be successful in their career progression is an integral piece of succession planning.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Experience:

• Essential knowledge and skills include basic business development skills, analytical abilities and a basic knowledge of portfolio management.
• Experience working and developing relationships with members, potential members, influential community people and staff is preferred.
• Demonstrated basic ability in most facets of credit granting and sales of Business Banking products over a two to five year period.

Education and Training:

• University degree in a business discipline or sufficient experience in lieu of education
• Diploma in a related field

The business may from time to time ask for branch and/or department support for special projects and/or areas experiencing staff shortages. All employees may be asked to volunteer to assist in areas of need during these times. These assignments could result i a change of hours, locations, and/or travel.
