We are actively seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our team in Saskatoon. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, implementation and maintenance of the manufacturing activities of your assigned area(s) including welding, paint, and/or assembly.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment by developing, implementing and adhering to CNH Industrial safety programs, policies and regulations.
  • Organizes and leads teams of multi-disciplined salaried and hourly personnel through delegation, leadership, training and effective utilization of all team members.
  • Meet established productivity targets and when missing these targets to develop and implement corrective action plans.
  • Producing quality parts and finished goods that meet established quality goals.
  • Forecasts and controls operating and capital expenditure budgets and develops corrective actions when required.
  • Maintain required levels of inventory and to develop and implement corrective action plans when required.
  • Develop, implement and monitor continuous improvement activities aimed at improving safety, efficiency, quality and costs.
  • Develop and implement action items aimed at providing a satisfying work environment through meeting or exceeding the established people satisfaction targets.
  • Develops and maintains positive employee relations within the guidelines of company policy.
  • To develop subordinates for future positions through coaching, mentoring and training opportunities.
  • Human resource activities such as employee selection, pay administration, employee counseling, training, performance reviews, discipline, and the administration of policies and agreements.
  • Actively participates in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, organizational development, capital and operating budgets, and other corporate goals and outcomes.
  • To participate in launching and sustaining of new and existing manufacturing products and process.
Qualifications:

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Engineering, plus 7 or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, an Associates degree and 10 or more years of experience OR high school diploma plus 12 or more years of experience may be considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Cross-functional experience (Quality, Materials, Engineering, Human Resources, and Safety).
  • Experience participating and leading Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Working knowledge of materials, tooling, machine tools, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to analyze and utilize data dealing with budgets and departmental objectives.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing control system, including the cause and effect of actions.
  • Working knowledge of a safety management program.
