DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis, design and detailing of Architectural elements for all projects, including plans, technical details and assistance with specifications
• Design of Architectural works associated with the construction of new buildings & renovations projects
• Investigate preliminary Architectural layout options during the planning and schematic design process to meet the client’s requirements
• Preparation of cost estimates, tender contract documents and Architectural reports
• Prepare conceptual and design details, calculations, layouts, sketches, specifications which meet Hytek’s needs and which, comply with sound Architectural practices and standards
• Support the development of construction documents, coordinate with other (internal and external) design and Engineering disciplines, Contractors, Project Management and Constructors, and support the project through contract administration
• Review, evaluate, and improve upon Architectural designs, drafting, details and specifications
• Continued focus on operational excellence and long-term sustainability of modular plans.
• Support the Building Design Team as required, including internal collaboration, and assisting with other discipline Technologist tasks as required to deliver superior building solutions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in the design of Architectural works with a focus on commercial building projects
• Knowledge of AutoDesk REVIT software is required, and knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up and 3D rendering software (such as Lumion, 3DS Max, etc.) software will be a strong asset
• Interpersonal and communications skills, positive hard-working attitude will be strong assets
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit
• Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to analyze complex architectural designs and identify potential issues or improvements
• Experience in commercial construction projects is preferred

Required Experience

• Architectural Technologist diploma
• Preference to have at least 2 years of experience in design development, detailed design, computer drafting, design coordination, and construction services.
• Searching for Junior, Intermediate & Senior level candidates

Salary: $17.61-$48.64 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
