We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance Team, reporting into RC’s Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for the ACCOUNTANTwho wants to grow and advance in their accounting career. In this Accountant role, you will be actively involved in the day-to-day accounting operation and financial reporting of RC. We are looking for an individual who is willing to roll up their sleeves to support the team and help us move forward.

This role is an important part of RC Pets’ Accounting Team.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle accounting and month-end financial reporting activities
• Reconcile and analyze various balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare and review journal entries as needed for month-end close transactions
• Review AP and AR closing
• Prepare monthly financial reporting package
• Prepare bank reconciliations for various bank accounts
• Ensure the accuracy of commissions and bonus calculations
• Maintain the weekly cashflow forecast and offshore payment reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of internal reports and analysis
• Review the prices for new items set up in ERP
• Assist with duty drawbacks claim and submission as required
• Involve in accounting’s day to day operation to support AR and AP functions from time to time and provide vacation coverage as needed
• Assist in setting up and maintaining vendor/customer accounts
• Assist in documentation and implementation of internal control procedures and identify areas of improvement and opportunities for efficiencies
• Attending to other related duties that may be assigned from time to time

About you

• You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• You have 3+ years of work experience in full accounting cycle
• You are/are interested in pursuing a CPA program
• You are detailed oriented and comfortable with working with tight deadline
• You have strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
• You have strong planning, follow up and ability to prioritize and multitask
• You are proficient with Microsoft Excel and pivot tables
• You have experience with using ERP accounting system
• You are eager to learn new things and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment
• You love pets and are comfortable working in an office with multiple dogs
