We are a Saskatchewan based General Contractor providing commercial and industrial construction services to a wide variety of clients across the prairie provinces. As the company achieves consistent growth, we require additional expertise and skills in our accounting team.

The Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant and is responsible to assist the with accounting responsibilities for Our Construction Company and associated companies which includes:

Preparation of monthly progress invoices, including processing subcontractor progresses, document management, job costing reports, and payment flow.

Ensure final payments of holdbacks from owner and to all subcontractors are completed upon project close out, o Internally administer input of Change Orders and changes to Prime Contract

Assist with overseeing the activity and performance of accounting personnel for the effective completion of bi-weekly payroll, accounts payable, employee benefits administration and other accounting duties

Credit card reconciliations and occasionally preparing bank deposits o Some insurance and taxation administration

Assisting the implementation team with any future accounting software and other programs integrations. The ideal candidate will possess:

Experience in Construction Accounting will be given preference. o A solid understanding of accounting principles, full-cycle accounting, budgeting, cash flow and financial statements

Strong knowledge of information technology, including computer software and systems integration

Strong math, critical thinking, problem solving and analytical review capabilities o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Team player with strong leadership skills
