The opportunity

Regions East Marketing is seeking an Account Manager to join our team to support the Government of Canada Diamond Account. This individual is an experienced and innovative account management and marketing professional who will help set and implement digitally enabled, multi-channel (virtual an in-person events where possible, sponsorships, social media, podcasts, video and written content, etc.) industry and functional marketing programs to bring the Government of Canada account-based marketing strategy to life.
What you will do:

Reporting to the Sr. Account Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with local practice leaders, the Regions East Marketing team, and other teams across KPMG’s National Marketing & Communications community to deliver strategic account-based marketing programs focused on building the KPMG brand within the Government of Canada. Specifically, you will:


Marketing

  • Develop and action an overall Federal Government Diamond Account marketing plan, with individual sub-account strategies and tactics
  • Leverage and deploy relevant Global and National campaigns at the account level and create awareness both internally and externally to build key account relationships
  • Shape, manage and deploy digitally enabled, multi-channel marketing programs aligned with national plans and local business objectives
  • End-to-end management of marketing activities including planning, deploying, and analyzing final metrics and identifying lead generation opportunities
  • Support practice leaders’ profiles within the account and in the market
  • Drive the management of industry accounts to identify opportunities and cultivate strategic relationships
  • Track, manage and measure marketing investments, and generate insights through analysis to validate ROI and inform future investment decisions
  • Report consistently on KPIs designed for industries and functional marketing (campaign effectiveness, media awareness, lead generation, etc.)
  • Manage KPMG’s relationship with external industry, community associations, and organizations
  • Lead and facilitate KPMG’s client feedback program for the Government of Canada Diamond Account, including managing outcomes and future action plans
  • Identify and create targeted communications to the client throughout the year
  • Develop and execute client communication strategy with the account team and in collaboration with Lead Partners through regular updates
  • Support account teams in identification of market opportunities and gathering firm resources to assist in the pursuit of new clients
  • Lead event planning through to execution, including the identification of target markets, relevant concepts and management of logistics, contracts and debrief reports
  • Coordinate the development and production of marketing collateral, campaigns and proposals in collaboration with other marketing specialty items including Research, Creative Services, Digital, Brand Compliance, etc.

Account Support

  • Provide support to the Senior Account Manager in the development and execution of the strategic and action plans for the key accounts
  • Assist in the research and creation of the fiscal year revenue plan
  • Work with the Senior Account Manager and account teams to maintain relationship database and track the client touchpoints and to identify new methods to build relationships with key account contacts to grow the pipeline
  • Develop an understanding of services and solutions to determine which initiatives would be of relevance and importance to key stakeholders/decision makers
  • Help identify business opportunities for account teams through understanding of client imperatives and marketing initiatives
  • Provide support to the Senior Account Manager in analyzing data and preparing reports for the Lead Client Partners and account teams
What you bring to this role:
  • University degree, diploma, or similar credentials in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related discipline
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in professional services with demonstrated ability to operate in a partnership environment
  • Working knowledge of buyer values, strategic positioning, thought leadership, content marketing, and relationship development in a professional services context
  • Highly creative and innovative with a strong grasp of existing and emerging digital technologies
  • Conversant with demand generation, lead nurturing campaigns, and technology (e.g. CRM)
  • Strong writing/communications, presentation, storytelling, facilitation, and execution skills
  • Strong track record of client service delivery and stakeholder management with senior executives
  • Experience in determining and demonstrating marketing and digital ROI
  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Familiarity with SAP or other CRM system is an asset
