Role: Shop Laborer/Sit-down Counter Balance Operator
Location: Acheson, AB. The candidate must have a reliable vehicle as the location isn’t transit-accessible
$18-22/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Shop Laborer/Operator capable to perform in a High Volume Production Environment? Do you possess exceptional problem-solving skills? Are you a safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic? If so, we have an opportunity for you!

We are currently looking for Operator/Shop Laborer for a leading manufacturer and distributor of exterior building products. The successful applicant must have the previous experience exercising mechanical aptitude on machines as well as basic math They will also have a proven record of working safely in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities are to be completed as assigned by the supervisor. Advantages

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate production line equipment
  • Safely moving very long product in the warehouse using team work and Forklift
  • Oversee the daily production and complete production logs
  • Use a nail gun and hand/power tools for crate building
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
  • Must have a can-do attitude and be open to overtime
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs – heavier than 50 lbs please have 2 man lift or machinery

Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in a production setting
  • Experience operating a sit-down counterbalance Forklift ( certificate is an asset )
  • Must be comfortable with basic computer work
  • 6 mos+ experience with RF Scanner
  • Enjoy working as a team to move product
  • Reliable transportation is a must, locations not accessible by public transit
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada by way of Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit.
